Abstract

How to overcome the dual constraints of resources and environment so as to achieve high-quality sustainable growth by means of transition and upgrading is a topic worth studying. Based on the theoretical frontier and the best practice of typical hidden champions, this paper sheds light on the transition and upgrading routes of Chinese hidden champions in manufactural sector, accordingly, a concrete framework is constructed : A hidden champion can successfully carry out transiation and upgrading by means of one or more of “seven strategies” which are comprised of greening, servitization, digitization, innovation, globalization, specialization and ecologization. In doing so, the hidden champions can achieve high-quality sustainable growth.
